AltFTool Service Status: How to Check if the Site Is Down
The AltFTool Status page runs a live health check each time you open or refresh it, scoring the tool registry, Firebase content reads, content fallbacks and SEO endpoints. Its uptime history is recorded only in your own browser, so it reflects the checks you have made.

What the Status page shows
Open Status and the page asks AltFTool's health endpoint for a fresh snapshot. It reports an overall state and a score for each part of the platform:
- Tool Registry: how many tools are registered and whether the priority tools are present.
- Firebase Reads: whether the content database is configured and returning live data.
- Content Fallback: the local content available if live content cannot be fetched.
- SEO Surface: the health of search-facing endpoints.
- Public endpoints: direct links to the sitemap, robots.txt and RSS feed.
Understanding the browser uptime history
The 24h browser history panel is built from the checks your own browser has made. Each time you load or refresh the Status page, the result is added to a short list saved in this browser's local storage, and the uptime percentage is the share of those checks that succeeded.
That makes it a personal log, not a global monitoring service. A new browser shows No history until you have made a check, and clearing site data resets it. Use the Refresh button to add a new check without reloading the page.
Is AltFTool down, or is it just me?
Open the Status page
If Status loads and shows healthy scores, the platform is up and the problem is likely local or specific to one tool.
Check your connection
Run the Internet Speed Test or open another site. The device diagnostics page also tells you whether your browser reports being online.
Test a single tool
If only one tool fails, it may depend on an external provider that is busy or down, such as live data or AI. Try again later.
Report persistent problems
If a problem continues, follow report a bug and include what Status showed.
Why one feature can fail while the site is up
AltFTool's own pages and local-first tools keep working even when an outside service has an incident. Features that depend on third parties, such as currency rates, weather, search, media, AI models or DNS and WHOIS lookups, can be interrupted by provider outages, quotas, regional limits or network conditions. Those interruptions may not show on the Status page, because it checks AltFTool's own platform.

Frequently asked questions
How do I know if AltFTool is down?
Open the Status page. It runs a live health check each time you load or refresh it. If it loads with healthy scores, the platform is up.
Is the uptime percentage on the Status page global?
No. It is calculated from the checks your own browser has made and is stored locally, so it is a personal history rather than a global monitor.
Why does one tool fail when Status looks healthy?
That tool may depend on an external provider, such as live data or AI, which can have its own outages or limits. Try again later or report it.
