How to Report a Bug or Request a New Tool on AltFTool
Report bugs, wrong results and broken links through the AltFTool contact page with the page address, steps to reproduce and your browser. Suggest a new tool on the Request a Tool page, which opens a prefilled email with your request.

Before you report
Two quick checks save time for everyone. First, look at Status to see whether a platform service is already having trouble. Second, try the quick fixes: a hard reload and a test in a private window rule out most browser and extension issues.
How to report a bug or a wrong result
Copy the page address
Copy the full URL of the tool or page, for example https://www.altftool.com/tools/all/percentage-calculator.
Write down what you did
List the steps, the inputs you used and the result you expected. For a calculator, include the exact numbers.
Note what happened instead
Copy any error message word for word. A screenshot helps; the Screenshot Privacy Masker can hide personal details first.
Add your browser and device
Say which browser, version and device you used. The User Agent Parser or the device info page shows this for you.
Send it
Use the contact page or the Contact Support button on the contact and feedback page.
How to request a new tool
The Request a Tool page is for ideas: a converter, calculator, image or PDF tool, developer helper, AI workflow or productivity utility that AltFTool does not have yet. Search the tool library first, as the tool may already exist under a different name.
The form asks for the tool name, a request type, who it should help, a description and your email address. When you submit, your email app opens with the request already written. If it does not open, the request is copied to your clipboard so you can paste it into an email yourself.
- Describe the problem the tool solves and who it helps.
- Add example inputs and the output you would expect.
- Mention file formats, units or standards it must support.
What happens next
Reports and requests are read by the AltFTool team. Clear, reproducible bug reports are the quickest to fix, and strong requests help prioritise future builds. Not every request can be built, and there is no fixed timeline, but popular and well-described ideas are more likely to make it into the library.
New tools appear in the tool library as they are released, so search there for your idea from time to time. The blog and news guide explains where announcements are published.
