What the n8n library offers
n8n is a workflow automation platform you can self-host or use in the cloud. The AltFTool n8n library is a curated collection of ready-made workflows you can drop into your own n8n instance, so you start from something that already works instead of a blank canvas.
Workflows are grouped into use-case categories such as Multimodal AI, Content Creation, AI Chatbot, AI Summarization, AI RAG, Market Research, Lead Generation, Ticket Management, CRM and Social Media. You can also browse by node: each node page explains what that n8n integration does and lists every template that uses it.
Import a workflow step by step
Find a workflow
Open /n8n and browse by category, by node, or with the search box. Open the workflow page to read what it does and which nodes it uses.
Copy or download the JSON
Press Copy JSON to put the raw workflow on your clipboard, or Download Workflow to save it as a .json file.
Import into n8n
In your n8n editor, open a new workflow and paste with Ctrl+V (Cmd+V on Mac), or use n8n's import-from-file option with the downloaded file.
Connect your credentials
Open each node that talks to an outside service and select or create your own credential, such as an API key or OAuth connection.
Test, then activate
Run the workflow manually with sample data, check each node's output, and only then switch it to active.
Adapting a template to your process
Treat a template as a starting point. Rename nodes so the canvas reads like your process, replace example values and channel names, and remove branches you do not need. Workflows in the AI categories usually have a prompt inside an AI node; adjust it for your tone and data.
Several AltFTool tools help while you edit: the JSON Formatter makes exported workflow JSON readable, the Cron Expression Generator builds schedule-trigger expressions with the next five run times, and the Diff Checker shows what changed between two versions of a workflow export.
When you do not need a server
If your task is a repeatable text or data transformation, such as cleaning a list, reformatting CSV or extracting fields, you may not need n8n at all. AltF Flow builds ordered transformations with logs and saved recipes that run entirely in your browser. For general tips on the tool library, see how to use browser tools.
Tools used in this guide

- Cron Expression GeneratorBuild cron expressions with readable schedule previews.
- Diff CheckerCompare two files and highlight the differences
- YAML to JSON ConverterConvert YAML to JSON in the browser — anchors and aliases resolved, multi-document files handled, output formatted your way.
- CSV to JSONConvert CSV file or text into JSON format
Frequently asked questions
Are the n8n templates on AltFTool free?
Yes. You can browse, copy and download the workflow JSON without an account. You need your own n8n instance or n8n cloud account to run them.
How do I import a JSON workflow into n8n?
Copy the JSON and paste it onto an empty n8n canvas with Ctrl+V, or download the file and use n8n's import-from-file option.
Why does my imported workflow show credential errors?
Templates ship without credentials. Open each node marked with an error and connect your own account or API key for that service.
