AltF Creator
AltF Creator Studio: free tools for YouTube, Shorts, Reels and TikTok
AltF Creator is a free, browser-only studio for video creators. It checks captions and titles against the published limits of YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X, Threads, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Facebook, builds YouTube chapters that pass YouTube's own rules, cleans hashtag lists, works out canvas sizes and crops, does earnings math with your own RPM, and plans an upload schedule you can export to your calendar. Nothing you type is uploaded.

How to prepare a video for upload with AltF Creator
- 1
Check the title
Type two or three title ideas into the title checker, keep the main keyword in the first 40 characters and stay under about 70 characters.
- 2
Build chapters
Paste your timestamps into the chapter builder and fix every error until it says YouTube will accept them.
- 3
Clean the hashtags
Paste your tag ideas into the hashtag cleaner, pick the platform and keep the three most specific first.
- 4

Paste the full description or caption and read the preview of what shows before "more" on each platform.
- 6
Schedule it
Add the video to your upload planner and export the plan to your calendar.

Limits checked November 2026. "Shown before more" is approximate and changes with screen size. X's 280 characters is for standard accounts; Premium allows longer posts.
How the checks work
- Character counts use grapheme clusters, the way a person reads them, so an emoji with a skin-tone modifier counts as one character. Some platforms count emoji as two; when you are within a few characters of a cap, leave a small margin.
- Hard limits (the platform cuts or rejects past them) and guide numbers (roughly where a feed shows "more") are labelled separately. Preview cut-offs change with screen size, so treat them as approximate.
- Chapter rules are YouTube's published manual-chapter rules: the first timestamp is 00:00, there are at least three, and each chapter runs at least ten seconds.
- Hashtags are cleaned by removing punctuation rather than guessing at it, and duplicates are matched case-insensitively. YouTube ignores every hashtag on a video that has more than 60.
- Earnings math only multiplies the numbers you enter. AltF Creator never fills in an RPM or CPM, because real rates vary by country, niche, season and format too much for a default to be honest.
- The upload planner and every input stay in this browser. The plan is saved to localStorage and exported as a standard .ics calendar file.
What AltF Creator does not do
- It does not connect to your YouTube, Instagram or TikTok account and cannot read your analytics.
- It does not predict views, rank titles or score thumbnails. No tool can know how a video will perform, so none of these numbers is offered.
- Platform limits change without notice. Each limit links to the platform's help centre; check it before a launch that matters.
- There is no video editor on this page. Editing, compression and recording happen in the linked AltFTool tools, each of which states whether it processes in the browser or on a server.
Everything you type into AltF Creator stays in your browser. Your upload plan is saved on this device only, and nothing is sent to AltFTool or any platform.

AltF Creator FAQ
Is AltF Creator free?
Yes. Every tool on the page is free, needs no account and has no usage limit.
Does AltF Creator upload my captions, titles or plans?
No. Every check runs in your browser. Your upload plan is saved in this browser's local storage and leaves your device only if you export it.
How long can a YouTube title be?
YouTube allows up to 100 characters, but search results and suggested videos usually cut titles at around 60 to 70 characters, so put the important words first.
Why are my YouTube chapters not showing?
The usual reasons are that the first timestamp is not 00:00, there are fewer than three timestamps, a chapter is shorter than ten seconds, or the timestamps are not in order. The chapter builder flags each of these.
How many hashtags should I use?
On YouTube, more than 60 hashtags makes YouTube ignore all of them, and only the first three show above the title. On Instagram the limit is 30 per post, though a few specific tags read better. On TikTok and X they count toward the caption length.
Can AltF Creator tell me how much my channel earns?
Not by itself, and it will not guess. Enter the RPM from your own analytics and your views, and it does the math. For sponsorships, enter the CPM you plan to charge and your expected views.
What size should a YouTube thumbnail be?
YouTube recommends 16:9 for videos, with a minimum width of 640 pixels. 1280 x 720 is the long-standing standard, and YouTube now accepts up to 3840 x 2160. A thumbnail uploaded from a phone must be under 2 MB.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Every tool works on mobile browsers, and the upload plan stays on the device where you made it.
Get your channel found
Links from real, relevant sites help a channel, podcast or portfolio show up in search. These AltFTool lists are checked by hand; pick the ones that fit your niche and skip any that ask you to pay for links.
