YouTube title length checker
Type a title and the checker counts its characters against YouTube's 100-character limit, warns past about 70 characters where search and suggested results usually cut it off, checks whether your keyword sits in the first 40 characters, and flags all-caps or repeated punctuation. Compare two titles side by side before you pick one.

How long should a YouTube title be?
YouTube accepts up to 100 characters. How much of that a viewer sees depends on where the video appears: on most phones and in search, titles are cut at roughly 60 to 70 characters. Write the title so the first 40 to 50 characters make sense on their own, and use the rest for detail.
What makes a title easy to click
- The main keyword or subject near the start, where it is never cut.
- One clear promise: what the viewer will see, learn or get.
- A number or specific detail when it is honest ("in 10 minutes", "under 5,000 rupees").
- Sentence case or title case rather than all caps.
- No promise the video does not keep; viewers leave early and YouTube notices.
Title and thumbnail work together
The thumbnail should not repeat the title word for word. Use three or four words on the thumbnail that add to the title, and check them with the thumbnail text length tester.

YouTube title length checker: questions and answers
What is the YouTube title character limit?
100 characters, including spaces and emoji.
Do emoji count toward the title limit?
Yes. Each emoji counts as at least one character, and some count as two, so leave a small margin if you use them.
Can this tool predict which title gets more views?
No. It checks length and readability. Only a real test, such as YouTube's own thumbnail and title testing where available, shows which one performs better.
