UK Lotto Number Generator

Lotto is the original draw game of the UK National Lottery. You choose six different numbers from 1 to 59, and the jackpot goes to anyone who matches all six main numbers drawn. This generator picks six numbers for you in one click using cryptographic randomness, so each of the 59 numbers has an equal chance of being chosen.

Lucky Dip, the official random option, works on the same principle, and neither it nor this tool changes the odds. Every set of six is equally likely. If you play, do it through the official National Lottery, follow the legal minimum age, and set a budget before you start rather than chasing losses afterwards.

How UK Lotto works

A line is six different numbers from 1 to 59. In each draw six main balls are drawn, plus a bonus ball from the same machine. You do not pick the bonus ball: it only matters for one prize tier, five main numbers plus the bonus ball.

Because the bonus ball is not something you choose, the generator does not produce one. Ticket price, draw days and any extras are set by the operator, so check the official National Lottery site for current details.

Jackpot odds for six from 59

There are 45,057,474 ways to choose six numbers from 59, so one line has a 1 in 45,057,474 chance of matching the jackpot. The order of the numbers does not matter.

The bonus ball does not change that figure. It only creates an extra prize tier for people who match five main numbers; the odds of five main numbers plus the bonus ball are 1 in 7,509,579.

What this quick pick does

The tool uses the browser's crypto API with rejection sampling to draw six different numbers from 1 to 59, each equally likely, and then sorts them. It is functionally the same idea as a Lucky Dip, but it only gives you numbers; it cannot buy a ticket.

Details such as the sum of your line or how many numbers are high or low are descriptive extras. They have no bearing on the result.

Two rounds per draw

Since the 10 June 2026 draw, each Lotto ticket plays two rounds: two separate sets of numbers are drawn in each draw, and your line is checked against both. The odds for each round are unchanged at 1 in 45,057,474.

With two rounds, one line gets two chances at a jackpot per draw, which works out at about 1 in 22.5 million per draw. That is still a very long shot, and the generator's numbers are no more likely to match either round than any other line.

Do birthdays and patterns matter?

Many players use birthdays and anniversaries, which means choosing from 1 to 31 only. That does not reduce your chance of winning, but if a winning line is full of low numbers more people may share the prize.

Tracking which numbers have been drawn most often does not help either. Each draw is independent, and every combination starts with the same chance.

Frequently asked questions

How many numbers do I pick in UK Lotto?

You pick six different numbers from 1 to 59. A bonus ball is also drawn from the same pool, but players do not choose it; it only decides one prize tier for those who match five main numbers.

What are the odds of winning the UK Lotto jackpot?

One line has a 1 in 45,057,474 chance, which is the number of different ways to choose six numbers from 59. Each of those combinations is equally likely to be drawn. Matching fewer numbers has shorter odds, as listed by the operator.

Is this the same as a Lucky Dip?

It works on the same idea, selecting numbers at random, but it is an independent tool with no link to the National Lottery or its operator. You would still need to enter your numbers through official channels to play.

Why doesn't the generator pick a bonus ball?

In UK Lotto the bonus ball is drawn by the operator from the main pool and is not chosen by players. Since there is nothing to fill in, the generator only produces the six numbers that go on your ticket.

What does it mean that UK Lotto has two rounds?

Since the 10 June 2026 draw, two sets of numbers are drawn in each draw and every ticket is checked against both. Each round has the same 1 in 45,057,474 jackpot odds, so one line has about a 1 in 22.5 million chance per draw. Check the official site for how prizes work across the rounds.

When are UK Lotto draws and how much is a line?

Draw days and prices are set by the operator and can change, so please check the official National Lottery website for the latest information. Always play within your means and only if you meet the legal minimum age.

For entertainment and education. Random numbers cannot predict or improve the result of a draw, and numerology and astrology are traditions, not science. If you play a lottery, play only where it is legal for your age and location, and set a budget you can afford to lose. Free, confidential help: BeGambleAware (UK), 1-800-GAMBLER (US).
