Mega Millions Number Generator

Mega Millions is a multi-state US lottery in which each line combines five main numbers from 1 to 70 with one Mega Ball from 1 to 24. This tool builds a line for you instantly. It uses cryptographic randomness from your browser and draws without repeats, so each number in each pool has an equal chance of appearing on your ticket.

Nothing here can tilt the odds. A random selection has the same chance of winning as numbers that mean something to you, and the page says so plainly. If you decide to play, buy only through official retailers or apps, check the age rules in your state, and treat the cost of a ticket as entertainment spending.

The Mega Millions format

A line consists of five white balls chosen from 1 to 70, all different, and one gold Mega Ball chosen from a separate pool of 1 to 24. Because the pools are separate, the Mega Ball can share a value with one of the white numbers.

Matching all five whites and the Mega Ball wins the jackpot, while partial matches win smaller set prizes. The game has had format and price changes over the years, so check the official Mega Millions website or your state lottery for today's price, multiplier rules and draw schedule.

Working out the jackpot odds

There are 12,103,014 ways to choose five numbers from 70. Multiply that by the 24 possible Mega Balls and you get 290,472,336 different lines. One line therefore has a 1 in 290,472,336 chance of matching the jackpot.

Every one of those lines is equally likely. A combination full of low numbers or a neat sequence has exactly the same chance as one that looks scattered.

Inside the quick pick

The generator requests random values from the browser's crypto API and converts them with rejection sampling, which keeps every value in range equally likely. Five numbers are drawn from 1 to 70 without repeats, then a Mega Ball from 1 to 24.

You can save a line, copy it or draw again. Summary details such as the total or the odd and even split are shown for interest only and have no effect on your chances.

Why past results do not predict the next draw

Charts of frequently drawn or overdue numbers are popular, but a lottery draw has no memory. Each drawing uses fresh, independent equipment and every combination starts from the same odds. A number that has not appeared for months is not due.

Picking numbers above 31 can reduce the chance of sharing a prize with people who play birthdays, which matters only if you win. It does not raise the likelihood of winning.

Frequently asked questions

How does Mega Millions work?

Each line has five different numbers from 1 to 70 and one Mega Ball from 1 to 24. Match all six to win the jackpot. Smaller prizes are paid for partial matches, as shown in the official prize table.

What are the odds of hitting the Mega Millions jackpot?

The odds for one line are 1 in 290,472,336. That is the 12,103,014 possible sets of five numbers from 70, multiplied by the 24 possible Mega Balls. Every combination has the same chance. Each prize tier has its own odds, which are listed on the official site.

Do generated numbers improve my chances?

No. Random numbers and chosen numbers win equally often over time. A generator is useful for speed and for avoiding common patterns, but it cannot predict a draw or make any combination more likely. Over many draws, quick picks and chosen numbers perform the same.

How much does a Mega Millions ticket cost?

The price and any included features are set by the operator and have changed in the past. Please check the official Mega Millions website or your state lottery for the current ticket price and draw days.

Is this site affiliated with Mega Millions?

No. This is an independent, free random number tool. It is not connected with Mega Millions or any state lottery and cannot sell tickets or verify winners. Always use official channels to play and to check results.

For entertainment and education. Random numbers cannot predict or improve the result of a draw, and numerology and astrology are traditions, not science. If you play a lottery, play only where it is legal for your age and location, and set a budget you can afford to lose. Free, confidential help: BeGambleAware (UK), 1-800-GAMBLER (US).
