How AltF Marketplace works: listings, approval and orders

AltF Marketplace uses your AltFTool account. There is no separate seller registration: any signed-in account can both buy and sell. Before you list, you add a marketplace profile with your display name, city and a phone number, so buyers who order can reach you.

Choose Sell, pick a category and sub-category, add a title, description, condition, price (and the MRP if you know it), your city and area, and up to eight photos. Photos are re-encoded on upload and location data is removed. You can save changes to a listing at any time from your account.

A new listing starts as pending and goes live only after our team approves it. Editing a live listing's content sends it back for review. If a listing is rejected, you see the reason and can fix it and resubmit. This keeps out spam, banned items and listings with contact details or misleading claims.

When a buyer finds something they want, they choose Place order. If they are not signed in, they sign in and come back to the item. They confirm that the seller will see their name, email and phone, and can add a short message.

The order then opens a page for the buyer with the seller's phone number, WhatsApp and, unless the seller chose to hide it, email. The seller sees the order in their account with the buyer's name, email and phone. From here, the two of you agree the details and meet.

AltF Marketplace does not take payments, hold money, ship items or charge fees. You pay or get paid directly when you meet, in cash or by a transfer you can see arrive. This means there is no buyer protection from us, so inspect the item before paying and follow our safe buying checklist. Anyone asking you to pay AltF Marketplace for something is not us.

• The seller marks the order as completed when the deal happens, and can mark the listing as sold.
• Either side can cancel an open order if they back out; the listing stays live for others.
• A buyer can have one open order per listing, and cannot order their own listing.

Your marketplace account keeps everything in one place: your profile, your listings and their review status, orders you placed, orders on your listings (sales) and your wishlist. Saving an item to your wishlist does not notify the seller; placing an order does.

If a profile breaks the rules, our team can suspend it. A suspended seller's listings are hidden, and nobody can place new orders with them.

Items you own and are allowed to sell: gadgets, clothing, kids' things, home items, beauty products, books, sports gear and similar goods. Listings for weapons, drugs, medicines, alcohol, tobacco, animals, counterfeit or stolen goods, and anything illegal in India are rejected or removed. Services and job offers do not belong here either.

There are no ratings, reviews or invented discounts on real listings. A small number of clearly labelled sample products may appear while real listings are few; they cannot be ordered. Promoted cards among listings are marked as sponsored.
