What the SEO Assistant does

The AltAI SEO Assistant is a general AI chat model with an instruction to help with on-page SEO. Give it a topic, a target phrase and a reader, and it suggests title tags, meta descriptions, heading structures, content outlines and questions the page should answer. It is free, needs no account, and your conversations are stored only in your browser.

It cannot see live search results, your site, your rankings or any keyword tool data, so it will not quote search volumes or difficulty scores. Treat its keyword ideas as brainstorming to check in a proper SEO tool or Google Search Console. Good SEO still depends on genuinely useful content, so use the suggestions to organise your own expertise rather than to replace it.

  • Titles with length checks

Title and meta suggestions come with character counts so they fit search result snippets.

  • Reader-first outlines

Outlines are built around the questions a searcher is likely to have.

  • No invented data

It does not quote search volumes or rankings, which it cannot know.

  • Heading review

Paste your current headings and it suggests a clearer, more logical structure.

Questions

Is the AltAI SEO Assistant free?

Yes. The SEO Assistant is a free mode in AltAI and does not require an account. You can draft titles, descriptions and outlines without limits beyond normal fair use. Your conversations are saved in your browser rather than on a server account.

Can it tell me search volumes or check my rankings?

No. It has no access to live search results, keyword databases, analytics or your website. Any keyword ideas are brainstorming based on general language knowledge. Check volumes and competition in a dedicated keyword tool, and use Google Search Console to see how your pages actually perform.

Are the character counts accurate?

Language models are not always exact at counting characters, so treat the counts as estimates. Paste your final title and description into the AltFTool Meta Tag Generator or Word & Character Counter to confirm the length before publishing. Search engines also truncate by pixel width, not only by characters.

Will using AI content hurt my SEO?

Search engines generally focus on whether content is helpful, accurate and original in value, not on how it was drafted. Thin, generic or inaccurate pages tend to perform poorly regardless. Use the assistant to structure and polish, then add your own expertise, examples and checked facts.

Can it audit my website?

It cannot crawl or visit websites. You can paste page text, headings, titles or meta descriptions and it will review them. For technical checks such as broken links, page speed or indexing, use dedicated tools and Search Console. For backlinks, AltFTool has a separate backlinks section.
