What the Interview Coach does
The AltAI Interview Coach is a general AI chat model set up to run practice interviews. Tell it the role, your experience level and the type of interview, and it asks one question at a time, waits for your typed answer, then gives short feedback on structure, clarity and relevance. It is free, needs no account, and your practice sessions are saved in your browser.
It works in text, so it cannot hear your voice or see your body language. It also has no inside knowledge of any company's real interview questions. Use it to rehearse common and role-specific questions, tighten your stories and get used to thinking on the spot. The feedback is a model's opinion and can be wrong, so weigh it against advice from people in your field.
One question at a time
It waits for your answer before moving on, like a real interviewer.
Feedback after each answer
You get a strength, an improvement and a suggested structure for every reply.
Role-specific practice
Questions are shaped by the job title, seniority and interview type you give.
STAR method help
For behavioural questions it shows how to frame answers as situation, task, action, result.

Questions
Is the AltAI Interview Coach free?
Yes. The Interview Coach is a free mode in AltAI and does not require an account. You can run as many practice interviews as you like within normal fair-use limits. Sessions are saved in your browser, so you can come back to them on the same device.
Does it know the real questions a company will ask?
No. It does not have access to any company's interview process and cannot look anything up online. It generates questions that are common for the role and level you describe. Use them as realistic practice, and also read the job ad and any public information the employer shares about its process.
How reliable is the feedback?
It is a useful second opinion on structure, clarity and relevance, but it is a model's judgement, not an expert recruiter's. It may miss things that matter in your industry or praise an answer that would not land well. Combine it with feedback from mentors, colleagues or careers advisers.
Can I practise speaking out loud?
The coach works with typed text and cannot listen to audio or watch video. A good approach is to say your answer aloud first, then type a short version for feedback. For general spoken English practice, AltFTool's TalkNLearn offers conversation lessons in a separate tool.
Can it help with technical interviews?
It can ask conceptual and problem-solving questions for many technical roles and talk through your reasoning. It cannot run code or provide a live coding environment, and its own technical answers can contain mistakes. Check solutions independently and practise coding problems in a proper editor as well.
