Will it make up experience to impress employers?
It is instructed not to. It rewrites what you tell it and leaves placeholders where a figure would help, rather than inventing one. Still, language models can overstate things, so read every line and remove anything that is not accurate. Exaggerated resumes are easy to spot in interviews and reference checks.
Can it create a formatted resume file?
No, the chat produces text only. Use it to get the wording right, then paste the sections into the AltFTool Resume Maker or your own template to handle layout and export. That keeps the writing and the design steps separate and easier to review.
Does it know what a specific company is looking for?
Only what you paste in. It cannot browse job sites or company pages. Paste the job ad and, if you like, a short description of the company, and it will tailor your bullet points to that text. It has no inside knowledge of hiring decisions at any employer.
