What the Email Writer does
The AltAI Email Writer is a general AI chat model with an instruction to write emails. Tell it who you are writing to, what you need and how formal it should be, and it returns a subject line and a ready-to-edit message. You can also paste an email you received and ask for a reply. It is free, needs no account, and conversations stay in your browser.
It does not send email, read your inbox or know anything about the people involved beyond what you type. Read every draft before sending: check names, dates, amounts and promises, because a language model can fill gaps with details that are wrong. Avoid pasting passwords, account numbers or other sensitive data into any AI chat, including this one.

- Ask for a version under 100 words if you want it brief.

Is the AltAI Email Writer free?
Yes. The Email Writer is a mode inside AltAI, which is free and does not ask you to sign up. You can draft as many emails as you need within normal fair-use limits. Your chats are kept in your browser, not in an account on our side, so they disappear if you clear site data.
Can it send emails or connect to my inbox?
No. It only writes text in the chat. It cannot read your inbox, send messages or see attachments. Copy the draft into Gmail, Outlook or whichever email app you use, check it there and send it yourself. That also gives you a final chance to correct anything it got wrong.
How accurate are the drafts?
The wording is usually clear, but the content is only as good as the details you give. A language model can fill gaps with plausible but wrong information, such as a date or a promise you never made. It is told to use placeholders instead, yet you should always read the whole email before sending.
Is it safe to paste work emails into it?
Your conversation is stored in your browser, and each message you send is passed to an AI provider to generate the reply. As with any online AI tool, avoid pasting passwords, financial account details, health records or confidential company information. Remove or replace sensitive details with placeholders before pasting.
Can it write emails in other languages?
Yes, you can ask for a draft in another language or ask it to translate your English draft. Quality is generally good for widely used languages and weaker for less common ones. If the email matters, ask a fluent speaker to read it, especially for formal or legal wording.
