Free wireframe tool for apps and websites

SketchFlow works as a quick, free wireframe tool: block out screens with frames and rectangles, show tap flows with dashed arrows, and keep everything deliberately rough so feedback stays on structure, not colours.

What is a wireframe?

A wireframe is a low-fidelity layout of a screen. It shows what content and controls appear and in which order, before any visual design. It is the cheapest point at which to change your mind.

Why SketchFlow

  • Frames act as phone or browser screens; everything inside moves with the frame.
  • Hand-drawn strokes signal 'draft' and invite honest feedback.
  • Insert screenshots or reference images with I.
  • Share a link so a client or teammate can open an editable copy.

How to use SketchFlow as a wireframe tool

  1. Step 1: Open the mobile app or landing page wireframe template.
  2. Step 2: Press F to add more screen frames; drag them side by side.
  3. Step 3: Block out controls with rectangles (R) and label them with their real text.
  4. Step 4: Draw dashed arrows from buttons to the screens they open.
  5. Step 5: Export as PNG or SVG and attach it to your brief or ticket.

Frequently asked questions

Can SketchFlow make clickable prototypes?

No. It is for static wireframes and flows. Use the arrows to document what each tap does.

Is low-fidelity better than high-fidelity for early ideas?

Usually. Rough sketches are faster to change and keep reviewers focused on layout and flow.

Does it include UI kits?

The templates provide the common blocks. You can also save time by duplicating and grouping your own components.
