Abs exercises
Your abs are the muscles at the front and sides of your stomach. They bend and twist your trunk and, just as importantly, brace your middle so your spine stays steady while your arms and legs move.
Crunches and leg raises bend the trunk; planks and dead bugs train the abs to resist movement, which carries straight over to lifting and carrying.
