About this tool
Every document and detail needed before filling an SSC form — OTR details, uploads, certificates, fee — plus an age-eligibility check.
This checklist lists every document and detail needed before filling a Staff Selection Commission application — the Aadhaar or alternative ID, Class 10 board, roll number and year for One-Time Registration, the OTP-verified mobile and email, the 10-20 KB JPEG signature, and the category certificates — and checks age eligibility the way SSC notices state it: attained the lower limit and not exceeded the upper limit (plus relaxation) on the cutoff date. It is for CGL, CHSL, MTS and other SSC applicants who want the form done in one sitting, without a paid correction later.

Shows your age on the cutoff date and the eligible date-of-birth window in the notice's own born-not-before / not-later-than form.
Reminds you the preview matters: re-submission costs Rs 200 the first time, Rs 500 the second, and only two are allowed.
For One-Time Registration you need your Aadhaar number (or a voter ID, PAN, passport, driving licence or school/college ID), your Class 10 board name, roll number and year of passing, your own and your parents' names and date of birth exactly as in the matric certificate, and a mobile number and email ID you can verify by OTP. For the form itself keep a scanned signature (JPEG, 10-20 KB), any SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwBD certificate you claim, and a way to pay the fee online.
The fee is Rs 100 for most SSC examinations, payable online through UPI, net banking or cards. Women candidates and candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwBD and eligible ex-servicemen are exempt and pay nothing. If details need correcting after submission, SSC charges Rs 200 for the first re-submission and Rs 500 for the second, and permits only two corrections.
Age is reckoned on the cutoff date printed in each notice, usually phrased as candidates "born not before" one date and "not later than" another. You must have attained the lower limit and not exceeded the upper limit on that exact date. Permissible relaxation extends the upper limit for Group C posts: 3 years for OBC, 5 for SC/ST, 10 for PwBD (unreserved), 13 for PwBD (OBC) and 15 for PwBD (SC/ST).
No separate photo upload is needed on the current portal — the photograph is taken as a live capture through your webcam during One-Time Registration, so sit against a plain background without a cap or dark glasses. The signature is still uploaded as a scanned JPEG between 10 KB and 20 KB, in the dimensions given in the notice annexure. Rules can change between notices, so confirm in the current notification before applying.
