The essentials are your admit card or hall ticket, institution ID, the completed and signed record or journal, writing kit (pen, pencil, eraser, scale), a calculator if permitted, and any required lab coat or dress. Pack them the night before — a missing signed record is the most common exam-day crisis, since many examiners award record marks only on submission.
Very — the record commonly carries a dedicated share of the practical total (often around 10–30% depending on the scheme), and it usually must be complete, signed per experiment and certified by the teacher or HOD to be accepted. Signatures are the slowest item to fix late, so close the record section first.
Revise the principle, law and formula behind every experiment on the syllabus, practise answering common questions aloud, and be ready to explain your project or investigatory work if the course has one. Examiners consistently reward a clean 'I don't know' over confident bluffing, so rehearse that answer too.
Typically one or two experiments to perform (sometimes drawn by lot from the syllabus list), viva questions on the aim, procedure, observations, result, units and sources of error, plus questions on graphs or circuit diagrams from your record. Knowing the expected range of each experiment's result helps you spot and explain anomalies during the exam.
