This planner turns a board paper's start time into the rest of the morning: it works backwards through the gate-closing time, the arrival buffer and the journey to give you a wake-up hour, then builds the kit list for that paper. On the standard CBSE sitting the writing runs 10:30 to 13:30, the centre gate shuts at 10:00 and the question paper reaches the desk at 10:15 for a 15-minute reading period — every one of those offsets is adjustable because the admit card for your own centre is the authority. It is meant for Class 10 and Class 12 candidates and the parent doing the 6 a.m. bag check.

Thirty minutes before the paper starts — 10:00 AM for the standard 10:30 AM sitting. No candidate is admitted after that, and the reason for being late does not matter. Aim to be at the centre by 9:30 so a wrong turn or a queue at the entry check still leaves you inside.
Fifteen minutes on CBSE papers: the question paper is handed out at 10:15 and writing begins at 10:30. CISCE papers print their own reading time at the head of the paper, 15 minutes on most and longer on some ISC papers. During reading time you may read, plan and mark the question paper but write nothing on the answer book.

Regular school candidates carry the admit card plus the school identity card; private, compartment and repeat candidates carry a government photo ID instead. Beyond that, take pens in a transparent pouch, a plain clipboard with nothing written on it, a clear water bottle and a simple analogue watch. A photograph of the admit card on a phone is not accepted, and the phone itself cannot enter the hall.
