Three things are entry-critical: the call letter printed from the portal, a currently valid photo ID in original (Aadhaar, PAN, passport, driving licence, voter ID or a bank passbook with photograph), and a photocopy of that same ID, which is submitted at the desk along with the call letter. On a 100-question, 100-mark prelims that is 0.25 marks per wrong answer, which makes the break-even accuracy on a blind guess 20% — above that, attempting is mathematically better than leaving it blank.
IBPS and SBI PO and Clerk prelims have 100 questions worth 100 marks in 60 minutes, split into three separately timed 20-minute sections: English Language (30 questions), Quantitative Aptitude (35) and Reasoning Ability (35). You cannot move between sections, so each 20-minute block has to stand on its own.

The gap between reporting and the paper start absorbs frisking, document verification and biometric capture (thumb impression and photograph), so treat the reporting time, not the exam time, as your arrival target.
