Why use Exam Countdown
All 14 in one place
Bank, Board, CAT and the rest sit behind one picker, so switching exam takes a tap instead of a new search.
Built for each option
Every exam keeps its own rules, numbers and defaults rather than one generic template.
Shareable view
The link remembers the exam you picked, so a bookmark or a shared link opens straight on it.
Common use cases
- Seeing how many days sit between the IBPS PO prelims and the mains so the descriptive paper is not left to the last week
- A Class 12 science student mapping how many free days sit between the Physics and Chemistry papers on the CBSE datesheet
- Deciding in August how many mocks a 30-mock target means per week between now and the last Sunday of November
- A CLAT aspirant in July checking whether two mocks a week still yields 35+ full papers before a December exam
Frequently asked questions
Which exam options does this tool cover?
14: Bank, Board, CAT, CLAT, CUET, GATE, JEE, NDA / CDS, NEET, Railway, SSC CGL, State PSC, TET, UPSC. Pick one at the top of the tool; the page link updates (for example ?v=bank) so you can bookmark or share that exact view.
What is the negative marking in bank exams?
One fourth of the marks assigned to a question is deducted for every wrong answer in the objective papers of IBPS, SBI and RBI recruitment exams, and unattempted questions cost nothing. That makes break-even accuracy 20 percent — below one correct in five, extra guessing lowers your score.
How are free study days between board exam papers calculated?
Free days before a paper are the days between the previous paper and this one, minus one — the day of the previous paper is spent writing it and the exam day itself is not a study day. For the first paper still ahead, every day from today up to the paper counts. A five-day gap between two papers therefore gives four free study days.
When is the CAT exam held?
CAT is normally written on the last Sunday of November, in three shifts across the day, and the exact date is announced by the convening IIM in its notification around late July or August. Enter your own admit card date here — the default is only the usual November Sunday.
How many questions does CLAT have and is there negative marking?
CLAT UG has 120 multiple-choice questions worth 120 marks, answered in 2 hours, and yes — each wrong answer deducts 0.25 marks while a correct one earns 1 mark. The paper was reduced from 150 to 120 questions from CLAT 2024 onward.
What is the CUET marking scheme?
Each correct answer earns 5 marks and each wrong answer loses 1, with unattempted questions costing nothing. Guessing therefore breaks even at a one-in-six chance of being right, which is why blind guessing on a four-option question is slightly positive but guessing on a subject you have not studied is not.
When is the GATE exam held?
GATE is written in early February, spread over two weekends in multiple sessions, and is conducted by one of the IITs or IISc on a yearly rotation. The organising institute publishes the exact session dates with the application notification, usually around August or September.
How many days are left for JEE Main?
Enter the date on your NTA information bulletin and the countdown shows the exact number of calendar days, weeks and spare days. JEE Main is conducted in two sessions each year, typically January and April, and the January session is usually about six months after Class 12 begins its final term.
What is the exam pattern of NDA written exam?
The NDA & NA written exam has two papers on one day: Mathematics — 300 marks, 120 questions, 2½ hours — and the General Ability Test — 600 marks, 150 questions, 2½ hours — for a written total of 900 marks. The SSB interview that follows carries a further 900 marks, so the written and the interview weigh equally in the final merit list.
How many questions does NEET have and what is the marking scheme?
NEET UG has 180 compulsory multiple-choice questions worth 720 marks, answered in 180 minutes: Physics 45, Chemistry 45 and Biology 90 (Botany 45 plus Zoology 45). Each correct answer earns +4 marks and each wrong answer deducts 1 mark; unanswered questions score zero. The optional Section B was withdrawn from NEET 2025, so all questions are now compulsory.
What is the negative marking in RRB exams?
One third of the marks assigned to a question is deducted for each wrong answer in every RRB computer based test, and unattempted questions cost nothing. Break-even accuracy is therefore 25 percent: at exactly one correct in four, guessing adds nothing at all to your score.
