At a typical event pace of 200 to 300 frames an hour, an eight-hour wedding produces roughly 1,600 to 2,400 raw frames, of which 15% to 25% are usually delivered. At 30 MB per RAW that is about 47 to 70 GiB on the card before any backup copies.
About 119 GiB. Card capacity is advertised in decimal gigabytes where 1 GB is 1,000,000,000 bytes, while your computer counts in binary gibibytes of 1,073,741,824 bytes. Formatting takes a little more, so plan around 119 GiB rather than 128.
Keep three copies of the files, on two different kinds of media, with one copy stored off site. The card still in the camera counts as a copy only until it is reformatted, which is why the planner multiplies the RAW total by the number of copies you actually keep.
Multiply the number of delivered images by your own minutes per image: 400 images at 90 seconds each is 10 hours of editing, or about two working days at six focused hours. Culling and export time sit on top of that, so a five-week delivery promise needs the calendar space to match.
