Career Toolkit for Freshers
Your first job search is mostly about turning projects, internships, coursework and part-time work into evidence an employer can check. This toolkit puts the steps in order: build a one-page resume from what you have, match it to each posting, prepare three or four STAR stories from college or internships, and check the offer and the company before you accept.
- 6-step checklist

Your checklist
- Keep the resume to one page: education, projects, internships, skills, and any part-time or volunteer work.
- Write project bullets with what you built, the tools you used and what it did.
- Match each application to the posting's keywords instead of sending one resume everywhere.
- Prepare STAR stories from group projects, internships, events you organised or a hard deadline.
- Never pay a fee for a job, training or 'security deposit' as a condition of joining.
- Compare the in-hand salary, not only the CTC, before accepting.

Freshers and graduates FAQ
How do I write a resume with no work experience?
Lead with education and projects. Treat each academic or personal project like a job: a title, what you built, the tools and the outcome. Add internships, volunteering, competitions and part-time work, and keep it to one page.
Should a fresher's resume have an objective?
A two-line summary that names the role you want and your strongest relevant skills works better than a generic objective. Change it for each application.
