How to make a magic spell text

  1. Write the spell

    Type one to three words — real Latin, fake Latin or ‘Coffeum Summonus’. Add a smaller incantation line underneath.

  2. Pick the script

    Choose Chancery script, Runic capitals, Gothic or Elven italic. The letters resize to fit longer spells.

  3. Set the magic

    Pick a theme from Midnight violet to Old spellbook, drag the glow and sparks sliders and switch the rune circle, starfield and moon on or off.

  4. Cast and download

    Press Cast for a chime, a burst of light and the spell read aloud, then download a PNG or JPG or share a link to it.

How does the spell get spoken?

Press Cast and your browser's built-in voice reads the spell slowly at a low pitch, with a chime and a glow animation. Nothing is recorded or sent anywhere.

Can I change the glow colour?

Each of the five themes has its own glow: violet, ember orange, emerald, frost blue and gold. The glow slider sets how strongly it shines.

Will the fancy lettering look the same on every device?

The scripts use fonts already on your device, so the exact letter shapes can vary between phones and computers. The glow, runes and stars look the same everywhere.

Can I use the spell image for a party or game?
