How to make a ninja text

  1. Type the word

    Enter the word or short phrase you want gone: Monday, Diet, Meetings, your age. Short words give the cleanest cut.

  2. Choose the technique

    Pick Silent cut, Diagonal, Double draw, Rising dragon or Crossed blades to decide how many slashes and at what angle.

  3. Style the scroll

    Pick paper and ink, a blade colour and the lettering, then add a caption, shuriken, ink splatter and a red seal.

Is the ninja text generator free?

Yes. It is free with no sign-up, and every design downloads as a PNG or JPG with no watermark.

Does the downloaded image show the cut?

Yes. The finished slash is always drawn on the artwork, so the PNG shows the cut even if you never press Strike. The button just replays it with sound.

What does the whisper do?

When you press Strike, your browser says the whisper text in a low, slow voice. Change it to anything you like, or clear it for a silent strike.

Can I slash more than one word?

Yes. The text box fits up to 28 characters, and the letters shrink to fit longer phrases. Two or three short words look best.

Can I change the colours?

Yes. Choose from five paper-and-ink pairs, including Rice paper, Sumi black and Night indigo, and four blade colours: Vermilion, Steel, Gold and Jade.
