How to make a chalkboard sign

  1. Write the title

    Type a heading such as Today's Specials, Welcome or Happy Birthday and pick a title lettering style and chalk colour.

  2. Add your lines

    Write one item per line. Add a price after a | (for example Latte | 3.20) and it lines up on the right with dotted leaders. Leave a blank line for a gap.

  3. Decorate the board

    Choose a black, green or blue board, wood or metal frame, doodles like stars, arrows, swirls or hearts, and turn the A-frame easel or chalk dust on or off.

  4. Download or share
