Apple offers four tiers — 4+, 9+, 12+ and 17+. A practical mapping is 4+ up to age 5, 9+ from 6 to 8, 12+ from 9 to 15, and 17+ at 16 and over. The same screen sets separate caps for films, TV and books using your region's certificate system.
