Podcast directories to submit your show to

40 podcast apps, directories and hosts where a show can be listed, plus a few guest-booking and podcast news sites. Most directories list a show from its RSS feed, so one good feed reaches many of them. Sorted by estimated authority; each row says what to submit and any rules.

Before you start

  1. Get the feed right first: show title, description, artwork, category and a link to your site in the show notes. Directories copy what the feed says.

  2. Put a link to your site in every episode's notes. Episode pages are indexed one by one, so a back catalogue becomes many pages that point to you.

  3. Claim your show on the big apps after it is listed, so you can fix the details and see your listener numbers.

Common questions

How do I submit a podcast to directories?
Most directories ask for your show's RSS feed URL and read everything else from it; some also ask you to confirm you own the show by email. This list has 40 places, each with the submission page and what it asks for.
Do podcast directories give backlinks?
Some show pages link to your website, and many of those links are nofollow. The real value is listeners: a show that is easy to find in their app gets played, shared and written about, and that is where the stronger links come from.
Do I need a podcast host to be listed?
You need an RSS feed that stays online. A podcast host gives you one, and several hosts in this list also push your show to the main directories for you.
