About this tool

Travel Unit Converter

Quick conversions for travellers: Fahrenheit to Celsius, miles to kilometres, US and UK liquid volumes, and shoe sizes across US, UK, EU and India.

Pick what you need to convert and get the answer you can use on the spot. This page brings together 4 separate travel unit converter pages (Temperature, Liquid volume, Distance, Shoe size) so you can compare them without hunting for the right one.

How to use Travel Unit Converter

  1. 1

Open Travel Unit Converter on AltFTool — it loads instantly in your browser.

  2. 2

Choose your convert at the top: Temperature, Liquid volume, Distance, Shoe size. On a phone it is a drop-down list.

  3. 3

Fill in the travel unit converter for that convert; each of the 4 options keeps its own rules, data and defaults.

  4. 4

Read the result, then switch convert to compare. The page link keeps your convert (?v=temperature), so you can bookmark or share it.

Why use Travel Unit Converter

  • All 4 in one place

Temperature, Liquid volume, Distance and the rest sit behind one picker, so switching convert takes a tap instead of a new search.

  • Built for each option

Every convert keeps its own rules, numbers and defaults rather than one generic template.

  • Shareable view

The link remembers the convert you picked, so a bookmark or a shared link opens straight on it.

Common use cases

  • Reading a US forecast in Fahrenheit before a trip when you think in Celsius.
  • Checking whether a bottle sold as 3.4 fl oz really meets a 100 ml limit.
  • Reading a 130 km/h autoroute sign in France when your instinct is calibrated in mph.
  • Buying trainers in a US store when your shoes are labelled UK 8.

Frequently asked questions

Which convert options does this tool cover?

4: Temperature, Liquid volume, Distance, Shoe size. Pick one at the top of the tool; the page link updates (for example ?v=temperature) so you can bookmark or share that exact view.

How do I convert Fahrenheit to Celsius quickly?

Subtract 32 and multiply by 5/9 — so 95°F is (95 − 32) × 5/9 = 35°C. For a rough answer in your head, subtract 30 and halve: 95 becomes about 32, close enough to know it is hot.

How many ounces is 100 ml?

3.38 US fluid ounces, or 3.52 imperial fluid ounces. The TSA states its rule as 3.4 ounces, which is actually 100.55 ml — very slightly above a strict 100 ml limit, and the reason a bottle labelled 3.4 oz can be accepted in the US and questioned elsewhere.

How many kilometres is 1 mile?

Exactly 1.609344 kilometres. That value is definitional rather than measured: the 1959 international yard and pound agreement fixed the yard at 0.9144 m, and a statute mile is 1,760 yards, giving 1,609.344 m.

What is a UK 8 in EU sizes?

EU 42, which is US men's 9, US women's 10.5 and a foot length of about 26.2 cm. The exact Paris-point figure is 41.6, so a EU 41 may also fit depending on the last.
