Group chat game ideas
The tool is quick enough to run a full round with a whole friend group. Here are a few formats that work well.
- Photo twin tournament: everyone sends a selfie, one person runs every pair, and the highest friendship vibe wins the title for the week.
- Same face challenge: two friends try to pull the exact same expression at once. Mood match carries 40% of the blend, so this one is very winnable.
- Throwback round: compare photos from years ago with new ones. Did you match more back then?
- Match type bingo: try to collect all four match types in one night, from Mirror Match to Opposites Attract.
- Pet round: humans versus pets. The face models are made for human faces, so results are unpredictable and usually funny, if a face is found at all.
Using the group photo face picker
You do not need separate selfies. If a photo has more than one face, the tool shows each face it found, and you tap the one you mean. You can add the same group photo in both slots and pick a different friend in each.
This is handy for party photos and trip photos where everyone is together. It also means the light and camera are the same for both faces, which makes the comparison a bit fairer. Faces that are tiny, blurry or turned away may not be found, so a close group shot works better than a wide one.
Want to compare everyone at once? Switch to Group ranking and add one group photo with 2 to 8 faces. Every pair is scored with the same method and ranked, with highlights for Best match, Mood twins and Look-alikes.
Comparing several friends fairly
If you want to rank a whole group, a little consistency helps. The score depends a lot on the photos, so use the same kind of photo for everyone.
Recent results are saved in this browser, without photos, so you can scroll back and compare. When the game is over, clear all removes them.
- Use photos with similar light and angle for everyone, ideally from the same day or the same group shot.
- Keep one fixed photo of yourself and swap only the friend's photo. Changing both at once makes rankings messy.
- Agree on the expression in advance. All smiling or all neutral works.
- Remember that the same two photos always give the same score, so anyone can re-run a pair to check it.
What the friendship vibe actually measures
Three things, all from the photos. Mood match compares the two expressions. Proportion match compares five face ratios such as eye gap and mouth width. Face resemblance uses a recognition model to see how alike the faces look to it. The blend is 40% mood, 35% proportion and 25% resemblance, then scaled to 55 to 100.
It does not measure how good a friend someone is, how long you will be close, or anything about your history together. Your best friend of fifteen years might score 62 and a random classmate might score 91. That is the joke, and that is fine. The how it works guide has the exact formula if anyone in the chat wants to argue about it.
Sharing and privacy for friends
Ask before you share a friend's face. The share card leaves photos off by default, so you can post the score and match type without anyone's picture. The copy button gives a short text version that fits nicely in a group chat.
Nothing is uploaded at any point. If your friend group wants to try other modes, the couple photo test and the crush photo test use the same method with different labels.
