How to make a polaroid photo

  1. Add your photo

    Upload a picture from your phone or computer. It is processed in your browser and never leaves your device. Square crops look most like real instant film.

  2. Write the caption

    Type a short note for the white strip at the bottom and pick a handwriting style and pen colour. Long captions shrink to fit.

  3. Choose the look

    Pick a frame colour, a film filter such as Warm vintage or Black & white, a tilt and whether it is held up with tape, a push pin or a paper clip.

  4. Shake and download

    Press Shake it to see the print develop from white, then download a PNG or JPG, copy the image or share a link to the design.

Is my photo uploaded anywhere?

No. Your photo is read and drawn inside your browser. It is not sent to our servers, and it is left out of share links and saved designs.

Can I use it without a photo?

Yes. Until you add a picture the frame shows a sunset scene, so you can still make a caption card or try out the frame colours and filters.

What does Shake it do?

It plays a short animation where the print shakes and then develops from white to full colour, just for fun. The downloaded image is the finished print.
