What it does

Standard Notes encrypts every note in the browser before it leaves, so the server stores blobs it cannot read, and the clients are open source and auditable. The free plan is deliberately austere: unlimited plain-text notes, unlimited devices and offline access. Rich text and Markdown editors, spreadsheets, file attachments and note history all sit behind the paid tier.
