About this tool
Find the exact APY monthly contribution for a ₹1,000–₹5,000 pension slab based on your joining age, plus total outgo and nominee corpus.
This Atal Pension Yojana calculator returns the exact monthly contribution PFRDA will auto-debit from your bank account for the ₹1,000 to ₹5,000 guaranteed pension slabs, using the official APY contribution chart for every joining age from 18 to 40. It also totals what you will pay over the full accumulation period up to age 60 and shows the corpus your nominee receives after you and your spouse. It is built for unorganised-sector workers, gig workers and small business owners comparing slabs before filling the APY enrolment form at their bank or post office.
Open Atal Pension Yojana Calculator on AltFTool — it loads instantly in your browser.
Enter Your age at joining (18–40) and choose a slab under Guaranteed monthly pension from 60, or tap one of the ₹1,000 to ₹5,000 chips beneath that field.
The Monthly contribution figure recalculates as you type — there is no calculate button — reading the official PFRDA chart for that entry age, with Contribution period, Total you will contribute and Corpus returned to nominee listed under it.
Compare every slab in the All five slabs if you join at table, then press Copy result to put the breakdown on the clipboard, or Reset to restore the defaults.
Contribution amounts come straight from the government APY table for each entry age and slab.
Total contributions until 60 and the months of pension needed to recover them are shown together.
One table shows monthly outgo, total paid and nominee corpus for ₹1,000 through ₹5,000.
It depends entirely on your age when you join. At 18 it is ₹210 a month, at 25 it is ₹376, at 30 it is ₹577 and at 40 it is ₹1,454 — the later you start, the fewer years your money compounds.
