About this tool

Self OSINT Query Builder

Build search queries to audit your own public footprint on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube.

Find what strangers can find about you. Pick a platform and the tool builds the search queries an investigator would use, so you can audit and clean up your own public footprint. This page brings together 4 separate self osint query builder pages (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube) so you can compare them without hunting for the right one.

How to use Self OSINT Query Builder

  1. 1

Open Self OSINT Query Builder on AltFTool — it loads instantly in your browser.

  2. 2

Choose your platform at the top: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube. On a phone it is a drop-down list.

  3. 3

Fill in the self osint query builder for that platform; each of the 4 options keeps its own rules, data and defaults.

  4. 4

Read the result, then switch platform to compare. The page link keeps your platform (?v=facebook), so you can bookmark or share it.

Why use Self OSINT Query Builder

  • All 4 in one place

Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and the rest sit behind one picker, so switching platform takes a tap instead of a new search.

  • Built for each option

Every platform keeps its own rules, numbers and defaults rather than one generic template.

  • Shareable view

The link remembers the platform you picked, so a bookmark or a shared link opens straight on it.

Common use cases

  • Checking what someone sees when they search your name before accepting or sending a friend request.
  • Finding which of your posts and reels are indexed by search engines rather than only visible in the app.
  • Checking what a recruiter, client or stranger sees when they search your name before a meeting.
  • Check whether an old vlog description still names your street, your school or the company you worked at five years ago.

Frequently asked questions

Which platform options does this tool cover?

4: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube. Pick one at the top of the tool; the page link updates (for example ?v=facebook) so you can bookmark or share that exact view.

How do I see what my Facebook profile looks like to strangers?

Use the 'View as' option on your own profile for the in-app view, then run a site:facebook.com search for your name and username to see the indexed version search engines hold. The two differ: search results can include public group posts, event pages and directory entries that the profile view does not show.

Can people find my Instagram posts on Google?

Public profiles and individual posts are indexed, appearing under instagram.com/yourhandle and instagram.com/p/ addresses, and reels under /reel/. Switching the account to private stops new content being indexed and eventually removes old entries, but anything already embedded or reposted elsewhere stays where it is.

How do I find my own LinkedIn profile on Google?

Search site:linkedin.com/in followed by your name in quotes, then repeat with site:*.linkedin.com/in to catch country subdomains such as uk.linkedin.com. That returns the public version of your profile, which is what people see before signing in and what search engines have cached.

Are YouTube comments searchable on Google?

Mostly no. Google indexes very few YouTube comments because they load after the initial page render, so the reliable route is YouTube's own search plus opening a suspect video, clicking through to load all comments, and using your browser's find-in-page. Treat any Google hit on a comment as a bonus, not as coverage.
