About this tool
Build AI prompts for Amazon, Etsy, Shopify and e-commerce product listings, product descriptions, real estate listings and restaurant menus with the right limits.
Each marketplace has its own title limits and rules. Pick where the listing goes, add your product facts and copy a prompt that respects them. This page brings together 7 separate product listing prompt builder pages (Amazon listing, Ecommerce listing, Etsy listing, Product description, Real estate listing, Restaurant menu, Shopify description) so you can compare them without hunting for the right one.
Open Product Listing Prompt Builder on AltFTool — it loads instantly in your browser.
Choose your listing type at the top: Amazon listing, Ecommerce listing, Etsy listing, Product description and 3 more. On a phone it is a drop-down list.
Fill in the product listing prompt builder for that listing type; each of the 7 options keeps its own rules, data and defaults.
Read the result, then switch listing type to compare. The page link keeps your listing type (?v=amazon-listing), so you can bookmark or share it.
Amazon listing, Ecommerce listing, Etsy listing and the rest sit behind one picker, so switching listing type takes a tap instead of a new search.
Every listing type keeps its own rules, numbers and defaults rather than one generic template.
The link remembers the listing type you picked, so a bookmark or a shared link opens straight on it.
7: Amazon listing, Ecommerce listing, Etsy listing, Product description, Real estate listing, Restaurant menu, Shopify description. Pick one at the top of the tool; the page link updates (for example ?v=amazon-listing) so you can bookmark or share that exact view.
Most categories allow up to 200 characters, and listings that exceed the cap can be suppressed. Amazon's own guidance is to keep titles much shorter — around 80 characters reads cleanly on mobile — and several browse nodes publish stricter limits in their category style guide.
Aim for 60 characters or fewer, because that is roughly what Google shows before truncating a result. The technical ceiling is higher — the Google Merchant Center title attribute accepts 150 characters — but anything past the truncation point is invisible to most shoppers.
Thirteen. Each tag can be up to 20 characters including spaces, so multi-word phrases have to be tight — 'handmade ceramic mug' is exactly 20 characters and fits, while 'personalised coffee mug for her' is 31 and does not.
For most marketplaces 150 to 250 words of description plus five bullets is enough; longer copy rarely gets read on mobile. What matters more than the total is the split — roughly 15% hook, 45% feature-to-benefit bullets, 20% use cases, 10% specs and 10% close.
Carpet area is the net usable floor area of the apartment, excluding external walls, service shafts, balcony and open terrace but including internal partition walls, as defined in section 2(k) of the RERA Act 2016. It is the area on which sale is regulated, so quoting super built-up as the size of the home misleads the buyer even when the number is technically real.
Fourteen. Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011, Annex II lists cereals containing gluten, crustaceans, eggs, fish, peanuts, soybeans, milk, tree nuts, celery, mustard, sesame seeds, sulphur dioxide and sulphites, lupin and molluscs. The information must be available for non-prepacked food, though not necessarily printed on the menu itself.
The product title field accepts up to 255 characters. That is separate from the SEO page title in the Search engine listing editor, which Shopify counts against 70 characters — the two do not have to be the same string.
