If even a perfect remaining score cannot reach the target, the tool says so and shows the best possible outcome.
The requirement is restated as a percentage of the papers left, so you know how hard the ask is.
Multiply 0.75 by the combined maximum of all exams, then subtract the marks you already have. With 320/500 scored and 500 marks remaining, you need 0.75 × 1000 − 320 = 430 marks, which is 86% of the remaining papers.
Because marks are awarded in whole units on most mark sheets, a requirement of 429.5 means you must actually score 430. Rounding down would show a total that falls just short of the target.
Compare the marks needed against the maximum marks remaining. If needed marks exceed what is left, the target is unreachable; this tool then shows your best possible overall percentage assuming a perfect score in everything left.
