Yes — enter a start and end page and it is shown as 'pp. 312-329'; leave the end page blank for a single-page reference shown as 'p. 418'. The tool also totals the pages saved per topic so you can estimate revision time.
Yes. Grouping is case-insensitive, so 'Federalism' and 'federalism' merge into one topic block, using the spelling of the first entry. Books, however, are matched by their exact name, so keep book titles consistent.
In your browser's local storage on your own device — it survives reloads but is never uploaded. Use the copy button to back the index up into your notes, since clearing browser data will remove it.
