Open Bank Request Letter Generator on AltFTool — it loads instantly in your browser.
Choose your request at the top: Bank account closure, Bank balance certificate, Cheque stop payment, Excess charges refund and 4 more. On a phone it is a drop-down list.
Fill in the bank request letter generator for that request; each of the 8 options keeps its own rules, data and defaults.
Read the result, then switch request to compare. The page link keeps your request (?v=bank-account-closure), so you can bookmark or share it.
Bank account closure, Bank balance certificate, Cheque stop payment and the rest sit behind one picker, so switching request takes a tap instead of a new search.
Every request keeps its own rules, numbers and defaults rather than one generic template.
The link remembers the request you picked, so a bookmark or a shared link opens straight on it.

There is no single figure — each Schengen state publishes its own reference amount per day of stay under Article 21(5) of the Visa Code, and the amount changes with whether accommodation is already paid for. France, for example, publishes EUR 120 per day where the traveller has no proof of accommodation, EUR 65 per day where the stay is prepaid, and EUR 32.50 per day for travellers holding an attestation d'accueil. Multiply the applicable amount by the days of stay and check the figure published by the consulate you are applying to.
Three months from the date written on it. The Reserve Bank of India reduced validity from six months to three with effect from 1 April 2012, and the rule covers cheques, demand drafts, pay orders and banker's cheques alike. A cheque presented after that date is returned as stale, so a stop payment on an expired cheque achieves nothing.
Write to the branch manager or the bank's nodal grievance officer with a dated, itemised list of the debits and ask for reversal in writing. Banks are expected to register the complaint and give it a reference number; if there is no reply in 30 days or the reply is unsatisfactory, you can escalate to the RBI Ombudsman.
30 days from the date you receive the policy document, under the IRDAI regulations notified in 2024. This replaced the earlier 15-day window, which had been extended to 30 days only for policies sold through distance marketing or issued electronically.
Write to the insurer's policy servicing office with the policy number, the existing nominee, the new nominee or nominees with their relationship, date of birth and share percentage, and ask for a written endorsement confirming the change. Section 39(6) of the Insurance Act, 1938 lets you change a nomination any time before maturity, but the change only binds the insurer once it has notice of it and has registered it - so keep the acknowledgement.
Not on a floating rate term loan sanctioned to an individual borrower. The RBI barred pre-payment penalties on floating rate home loans by its circular of 5 June 2012 and extended the bar to all floating rate term loans to individual borrowers by the circular of 2 May 2014. Fixed rate loans and loans to companies or firms remain chargeable, typically at 2% to 5% of the principal outstanding.
Address it to the Branch Manager, put the loan account number in the subject line, state the exact period you need covered, list the documents you want numbered one by one, give the reason and say how you want them delivered. Add a line asking for acknowledgement within a set number of days and sign with your name and loan account number.
