Outlook inbox automation for your own Outlook.com mailbox

5 min read

Outlook inbox automation lets a browser tool process unread mail in an Outlook web tab you are already signed in to. Outlook renders its message list as a virtualized list, so the extension scrolls and reads rows as they are drawn rather than loading the whole inbox at once. It works only with your existing session and never asks for your Microsoft password.

Why Outlook needs a different approach

Outlook on the web only keeps a window of message rows in the page at any time. As you scroll, older rows are removed and new ones are drawn. A tool that expects every message to be on the page would miss most of them.

The extension handles this by reading the rows currently rendered, scrolling, and keeping track of which messages it has already seen. That way it can work through the unread list without double-processing items.

What a run does

Runs follow the same model as other providers: you choose senders or a connected campaign, and the extension opens matching unread messages, waits the configured reading time and moves on.

  • Filter by sender address or by a campaign matched through the ESP Connector
  • Configurable reading time per message
  • Optional link opens and replies on your own messages
  • Local activity log of each action

Practical tips

Keep the Outlook tab visible and avoid interacting with it during a run, because manual scrolling can change which rows are rendered. Use moderate delays in Settings so the list has time to load between scrolls.

Microsoft's service agreement governs your account. Automated activity may be limited by those terms, and you are responsible for how you use the tool.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work with Outlook.com and Microsoft 365 web mail?

It is built for Outlook on the web in Chrome. It relies on the virtualized message list that Outlook renders, and it uses whatever session you are signed in with.

Why should I avoid scrolling during a run?

Outlook only renders part of the list at a time. Manual scrolling changes what is on screen and can make the run skip or revisit rows.

Is my Microsoft password stored anywhere?

No. The extension never asks for mailbox passwords; it works with the session already open in your browser.
