Stored only in this browser (localStorage). Nothing is uploaded. Clearing site data deletes it, so export a CSV as a backup.

Method

How it works

  1. Add what you bought

Item, purchase date, the return window in days and the warranty in months. Store, price and notes are optional but handy when you need to claim.

  2. Watch the countdown

Each purchase shows days left for returns and warranty, with Ending soon at 14 days or less. The list is sorted by whichever deadline is next.

  3. Get reminders, keep a backup

Download a calendar file with an all-day event on each deadline and a reminder 3 days before. Export a CSV to back up or move to another device.

FAQ

Questions people ask

Where is my list stored?

Only in this browser's local storage on this device. Nothing is sent to AltFTool. If you clear site data or switch browsers the list is gone, so export a CSV now and then and import it where you need it.

How are the end dates worked out?

The return window is the purchase date plus the number of days. The warranty end is the purchase date plus the number of months, landing on the same day of the month (or the month's last day, e.g. 31 January + 1 month = 28 or 29 February). Some sellers count from delivery instead, so check your receipt.

How do calendar reminders work?

Add to calendar downloads an .ics file with one all-day event for each upcoming deadline and an alert 3 days before. Open it with Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook to import the events.

Can I import from a spreadsheet?

Yes. Save it as CSV with at least item and purchaseDate (YYYY-MM-DD) columns. returnDays, warrantyMonths, store, price and notes are picked up if present. Rows without a name or a valid date are skipped and counted.
