About this tool
Advanced AI-powered naming generator and professional branding suite. Discover names, slogans, dynamic logo mockups, and color palettes.
The Startup Name Generator builds 50 unique candidate names per run by combining your own keywords with industry-specific prefixes and suffixes across five naming patterns — one word, two words, compound, prefix plus word, and word plus suffix. Pick an industry such as Technology, Finance, Healthcare or Food and a brand style, and each name arrives with a matching identity sketch: a tagline, a five-colour palette you can copy as hex, a font suggestion and a simple logo mark in minimal, geometric or gradient form. It is for founders and side-project builders who need a shortlist to react to rather than a blank page.
Open Startup Name Generator on AltFTool — it loads instantly in your browser.
Enter a Primary Keyword such as Code or Nexus, add an optional Secondary Keyword, then set Target Industry, Style Tone and Name Format.
Press "Run Naming Engine (50 Names)" to build the deduplicated batch, then narrow it with the "Search names..." box or reorder by Best Score, Alphabetical or Newest.
Open a name to see its tagline, three brand hex colours and SVG logo mark in the Identity Sandbox, and keep it with Show Favorites.
Names are built from the seed words you type, not drawn from a fixed list, so the output reflects your actual product instead of generic startup vocabulary.
Each industry has its own prefix, suffix and keyword pools — Finance draws on pay, ledger, mint and yield, Healthcare on medi, vital and pulse — so results stay in the right register.
Favourites are stored in your browser's local storage, so the names you starred are still there when you come back, and filters for short, medium and long names narrow a 50-name list quickly.
No. The availability figure shown alongside each name is an indicative score, not a live registrar lookup, so always confirm a name at a domain registrar before you commit to it. Do a trademark search too — a free .com does not mean the name is legally clear.
Fifty per run, all deduplicated within the batch, and you can regenerate as often as you like for a fresh set. You can then narrow them by search term, by length band — short is under 8 characters, medium 8 to 12, long 13 and above — or show only your saved favourites.
Short, easy to say aloud after hearing it once, and easy to spell without being asked to repeat it. Names under about 12 characters tend to survive verbal introductions and URLs better, which is why the length filter exists; deliberate misspellings look distinctive on a slide but cost you every time someone types them from memory.
The names themselves are yours to use, but availability and legal clearance are on you. Check that the exact name and close variants are not already registered as trademarks in your categories and territories, and speak to a trademark attorney before spending money on branding.
