The RTO Driving Licence Mock Test sets a timed 20-question paper drawn at random from a bank of 141 Indian learner's-licence questions, with 20 minutes on the clock and 12 correct needed to pass. Questions are pulled across all eight categories — mandatory, cautionary and informatory signs, road rules and markings, right of way, documents, penalties under the Motor Vehicles Act as amended in 2019, and safe driving — with the answer options reshuffled every attempt so you cannot memorise positions. Every question carries an explanation, and the ones you get wrong are collected into a revision set you can re-sit on their own.

Pick option A, B, C or D on each question, use Mark for review to flag one for later, and move with Previous and Next or the numbered grid under Progress, which counts how many are answered. The clock starts at 20:00 and auto-submits at zero; Submit test asks "Submit this test?" before scoring, with Yes, submit and Keep answering.
The result page shows the score ring, a Pass or Fail badge, the percentage, the 12-correct pass mark, a Category breakdown and a Full review giving Your answer, Correct answer and the explanation for every question. New test starts another paper, Revise mistakes opens the saved set, and Attempts and Best score are kept on this device.
Each question comes with the reason it is correct, so a wrong pick teaches the rule instead of just marking you down.
Questions you miss are saved locally and can be re-sat as their own paper once you have five or more.
Papers draw across all eight categories and reorder the four options each attempt, so scores reflect knowledge rather than recall of a fixed sheet.
This mock test uses 20 questions in 20 minutes with a pass mark of 12 correct, which is 60%. The actual RTO paper differs by state — several states set 10 to 20 questions with a 60% threshold — so check your state transport department's format alongside practising here.
Six months from the date of issue under the Motor Vehicles Act. You must apply for the permanent driving licence within that window, and in most states you can appear for the driving test after 30 days from the date the learner's licence was issued.
