About this tool
Convert reward points to rupees and compare cards on effective return after fee, GST and caps.
A reward point has no fixed worth — it is worth the rupees your own redemption route pays, which this calculator derives as rupees received divided by points surrendered. From that it works out points earned in whole spend blocks, applies any monthly cap, values the year's earnings, and subtracts the annual fee grossed up by the 18% GST charged on card fees. The result is an effective reward rate and a net rupee figure you can rank two or more cards on, plus the monthly spend at which each card repays its own fee.

The same 10,000 points can be worth ₹2,500 or ₹700 depending on how you cash them out.
A ₹2,500 fee actually costs ₹2,950, which changes the break-even spend.
Points accrue per ₹100 or ₹150 with the remainder wasted, and caps stop accrual mid-cycle.
Divide the rupee value you receive by the points you give up. A 10,000-point redemption worth ₹2,500 makes each point ₹0.25. The same points redeemed against catalogue merchandise are often worth far less, so value them by the route you actually use.
Yes, at 18%. A ₹2,500 annual fee costs ₹2,950 once GST is added, and that is the figure your rewards have to beat before the card is worth keeping. GST also applies to the joining fee and to late payment fees.
Compare the year's reward value plus welcome and milestone benefits against the fee including GST. If that total is negative at your real spend, a no-fee card leaves you better off. The break-even spend figure tells you the monthly amount at which the card starts paying for itself.
Points accrue in whole blocks — spend ₹290 on a per-₹150 card and only one block counts. Most cards also cap points per statement cycle and exclude categories such as rent, fuel, wallet loads and government payments. Check the card's terms for the exclusion list; this tool is informational and not financial advice.
