This estimator works out what a Jaipur auto, e-rickshaw or cab trip is actually worth, using the same two-part structure every Indian city tariff uses: a base amount covering the first couple of kilometres, a per-kilometre rate beyond it, waiting time billed by the minute, and a percentage premium for late-night pickups. In practice, rarely. Most Jaipur autos quote a lump sum before the trip rather than running a meter, which is why the fare is agreed in advance and why an independent per-kilometre estimate is useful before you start haggling. Always settle the number before you get in, not at the destination.
That run is about 4.5 km, so on a ₹30 base covering 2 km plus ₹14 a kilometre it works out near ₹65 — meaning a quote in the ₹60 to ₹100 band is reasonable and anything approaching ₹200 is a tourist rate. Adjust the per-kilometre figure in the rate card if local rates have moved since.
Rajasthan has not issued its own aggregator scheme, so MoRTH's Motor Vehicle Aggregator Guidelines, 2020 apply: a licensed aggregator may charge at most 1.5 times its declared base fare and at least 50% of it. A quote implying much more than one-and-a-half times the normal rate for that distance is worth a second look at the fare breakdown.
It usually works out cheaper than separate trips once you plan four or more stops, because a day hire prices the waiting time in rather than charging a fresh base fare each leg. Add up the actual kilometres of your route here first — Amber Fort, Nahargarh and Jal Mahal alone come to roughly 30 km of driving from the walled city — then compare that total against the day rate you are quoted. Monument entry and parking are always extra.
