About this tool
Get personalized hair care routines.
The Hair Care Guide asks four questions — hair type (straight, wavy, curly or coily), strand texture (fine, medium or thick), your main concern (dryness, oiliness, dandruff or damage) and your goal (growth, shine, volume or repair) — and matches that profile to a wash-day routine. Each result lays out morning steps, night steps and maintenance tips, such as conditioning only from mid-length to ends on oily hair or sealing coily hair with the leave-in, oil, cream order. It is a starting framework for people who do not know where to begin, not a diagnosis.

Answer the opening question, What's your hair type?, by clicking one of the four option cards — Straight, Wavy, Curly or Coily — each carrying a short description such as Tight coils and kinks. A counter above the card reads Question 1 of 4 alongside a percentage and progress bar.
Work through the remaining three questions the same way: How would you describe your hair texture? (Fine, Medium, Thick), What's your main hair concern? (Dryness, Oiliness, Dandruff, Damage) and What's your hair goal? (Hair Growth, Shine & Luster, Volume, Repair). There is no submit button — each choice advances on its own, and Back returns to the previous question.
The result opens as Your Personalized Routine with the matched routine name in a badge, for example Deep Repair & Moisture Routine, then numbered Morning Routine and Night Routine cards naming a product for every step, plus a Pro Tips list; profiles without a dedicated match get Basic Hair Care Routine. Take Quiz Again clears all four answers and returns to question 1 — the routine is on-screen only, with no download or copy.
Hair type and texture both feed the quiz, with more dedicated type-and-texture routine combinations being added over time — profiles without a specific match get a solid basic routine instead.
Each routine names the wash-day steps and the overnight protection separately, so you know what belongs where.
Tips carry the interval that matters — how often to clarify, deep condition or trim — which is usually what goes wrong.
For most hair types two to three washes a week is the routine suggested here; oily scalps do better with a clarifying wash about three times a week, while coily hair is usually washed once a week because it dries out fastest. Adjust from there based on how your scalp feels by day two.
Every six to eight weeks for fine hair, eight to ten weeks for curly hair prone to split ends, and eight to twelve weeks as a general baseline. Trimming does not speed growth at the root — it removes split ends before they travel up the shaft and cost you length.
Leave-in, Oil, Cream — applying a water-based leave-in first, then an oil to seal it, then a cream to hold it in. It is the layering order recommended here for coily and very dry hair, because oil alone seals in whatever moisture is already there rather than adding any.
No. It suggests a care routine from four self-reported answers and cannot diagnose anything. Persistent shedding, sudden thinning, bald patches, or a flaky itchy scalp that does not settle with an anti-dandruff routine should be seen by a dermatologist or trichologist.
