About this tool
Generate 50, 100 and 250 word bios in first or third person, with character checks for X, Instagram and LinkedIn.
The Multi Length Bio Writer takes one set of facts — role, specialism, audience, achievements, credentials and a call to action — and assembles them into the three bio lengths people are actually asked for: 50 words for a speaker blurb or directory listing, 100 words for an about paragraph, and 250 words for a press kit or long profile. Each version can be written in first or third person with your chosen pronoun, and the short version is checked against the character limits of X (160), Instagram (150), Facebook (255), YouTube (1,000) and the LinkedIn About section (2,600).

The same achievements are reused at increasing depth, so the versions never contradict each other.
Verb agreement follows the pronoun you pick, including they/them, so nothing reads as 'they works'.
The short bio is measured against the real character caps of five profile fields, not a guess.
Keep three on hand: about 50 words for directory listings and speaker blurbs, about 100 words for a website about section, and 200 to 250 words for press kits and long profiles. Most requests will name one of those three lengths, and going over is usually treated as a failure to follow the brief.
Third person for anything published by someone else — conference programmes, press releases, contributor pages — because it reads as an institutional description. First person for your own website, LinkedIn About section and newsletter, where the direct voice is warmer and expected.
Instagram allows 150 characters and X allows 160. Facebook page bios allow 255, YouTube channel descriptions 1,000, and the LinkedIn About section 2,600. A 50-word bio runs roughly 300 characters, so the social fields usually need a trimmed version rather than the full short bio.
The role you want to be known for, who you do it for, one concrete achievement with a number in it, and a way to reach you. Adjectives such as 'passionate' or 'results-driven' take space without adding information — a shipped project and a percentage do the same job more credibly.
