Score your product idea out of 100
Seven questions, fixed weights, the full working shown. The calculator updates as you answer, tells you which factor would gain the most, and keeps nothing unless you save it in your own browser.

FAQ
Questions about the calculator
How is the opportunity score calculated?
Each of seven factors has a fixed weight: demand evidence 25, interest trend 10, competition gap 15, differentiation 20, willingness to pay 15, build effort 5, distribution 10, adding up to 100. Your answer to each question earns a share of that factor's points, and the total is rounded to a whole number.
What do the score bands mean?
75+ is strong case; 60+ is promising; 40+ is needs evidence; 0+ is weak case. The bands describe how well the answers support the idea, not how likely it is to succeed.
Does a high score mean my idea will work?
No. The calculator scores the answers you give, and it cannot check them. A high score means you have described a well-supported case; the market still decides. Use it to find the weakest part of the case and test that first.
Is my idea stored anywhere?
Only in your own browser if you press Save (localStorage on this device). Nothing is sent to AltFTool. The share link carries your answers in the URL, so anyone you send it to sees the same result.
