Who publishes AltFTool News

AltFTool News is published by AltFTool (www.altftool.com), the free online tools platform. The news section covers technology, AI, online tools, business and India news that matters to the people who use our tools.

There are two kinds of stories on AltFTool News, and every page says which one you are reading.

• AltFTool Desk stories are written and edited by our own team. Each one carries a named author, the date it was published and the date it was last updated, and a list of the sources it relies on.
• Headlines from around the web are short summaries pulled from public RSS feeds of other publishers. We credit the original publisher on the page and link to their full story. We do not rewrite or republish their reporting.

Sourcing and accuracy

• We prefer primary sources: official announcements, filings, documentation, data releases and on-the-record statements.
• Every factual claim in a Desk story should be traceable to a source listed at the end of the story, or to our own testing of a product or tool.
• When we test a tool or service ourselves, we say so and describe what we tested.
• We separate reporting from opinion. Analysis and opinion are labelled as such.

Corrections and updates

• When we get something wrong, we fix it and note the correction at the end of the story.
• When a story changes because new information arrives, we update it and change the "Updated" date shown under the headline.
• To report an error, use our contact page and include the story link.

How we use AI

• AI tools may help with research, transcription, translation or first drafts. A human editor checks every fact and approves every Desk story before it is published.
• We do not publish AI-generated rewrites of other outlets' stories.
• AI-generated images are labelled in their caption.

Independence, ads and links

• AltFTool is supported by advertising. Advertisers do not choose, review or approve news stories.
• Sponsored content, if we ever publish it, will be labelled clearly as sponsored.
• We link to other sites when they are the source of a fact or the best place to read more. Paid or sponsored outbound links are marked rel="sponsored".
• Stories may link to AltFTool tools and guides when they are genuinely useful for the topic.
