The recurring set is constitutional and top official posts: President, Vice-President, Chief Justice of India, RBI Governor, service chiefs, Election Commissioners, CAG, Attorney General, and heads of major PSUs and international bodies. Questions typically pair the person with the post or ask the ordinal (for example, the 51st CJI).
Mostly from the 6 to 12 months before the exam date, but constitutional post holders are asked regardless of when they took office — you should always know the current President, CJI and RBI Governor even if they were appointed years earlier.
Record the exact post name, the organisation, the date of taking charge and the ordinal number where one exists (15th President, 51st CJI). Exams often build wrong options from predecessors or from the announcement date instead of the swearing-in date.
