About this tool
Check the compatibility between two names with detailed love, friendship, and soulmate analysis.
The Name Compatibility checker converts two names into Pythagorean numerology values — letters A–I map to 1–9, J–R repeat 1–9 and S–Z run 1–8 — and derives a Name number, Soul Urge from the vowels, Personality number from the consonants and a Destiny number for each person. It then scores four kinds of match, love, friendship, soulmate and business, on a 10–100 scale and averages them into one overall figure with a label such as Cosmic Soulmates or Complex Bond. It is a numerology-based entertainment tool, not a prediction: the arithmetic is fixed and repeatable, but nothing about it forecasts a real relationship.
Open Name Compatibility on AltFTool — it loads instantly in your browser.
Type a First Name and a Second Name into the Enter Names card.
Press Check Compatibility; every letter is scored on the Pythagorean scale and reduced to a single digit, except totals landing on the master numbers 11, 22 or 33, which are kept whole.
An overall score appears with a label from Cosmic Soulmates (85+) down through Perfect Match, Great Connection and Interesting Dynamic to Complex Bond, above a Score Breakdown of Love, Friendship, Soulmate and Business percentages and Numerology Profiles giving each name's Name Number, Soul Urge, Personality and Destiny.
Each name comes back with its Name, Soul Urge, Personality and Destiny numbers so you can see where the score came from.
Love, friendship, soulmate and business are calculated from different number pairs, so a low romance score can sit beside a high working-partnership one.
Totals reducing to 11, 22 or 33 are held rather than collapsed to a single digit, as standard numerology practice requires.
Each letter gets a number from the Pythagorean system, the totals are reduced to a single digit unless they land on 11, 22 or 33, and the gaps between the two people's numbers drive four sub-scores. Love leans on the Name and Soul Urge numbers, friendship on Name and Personality, soulmate on Destiny and Soul Urge, and business on whether either Name number is 1, 4 or 8. The overall figure is the plain average of those four.
85 and above is labelled Cosmic Soulmates, 70–84 Perfect Match, 55–69 Great Connection, 40–54 Interesting Dynamic and anything below 40 a Complex Bond. Scores are clamped to a 10–100 range, so no pairing ever returns zero.
No. Numerology has no scientific basis and this is built for fun, not for decisions about your relationships. The calculation is deterministic — the same two names always give the same numbers — but that consistency reflects arithmetic, not evidence.
Either works, but you will get different numbers, because every letter contributes to the total and vowels and consonants are counted separately. Numerologists usually use the full name as written on a birth certificate for the Destiny number; try both and compare rather than assuming one is the real answer.
