About this tool
Discover your life in numbers — heartbeats, breaths, dreams, and more. Enter your birth date to reveal the hidden statistics of your existence.
Life Stats turns a single date of birth into more than 25 lifetime totals — heartbeats, breaths, blinks, steps, dreams, meals and trips around the Sun — by multiplying your elapsed time alive by published human averages such as 80 beats per minute, 16 breaths per minute and 8,000 steps a day. It is built for anyone who wants a vivid sense of scale behind an ordinary birthday: enter the date, and every figure is recalculated from your exact age in days, hours and minutes. The results are grouped into six chapters — Your Body, Sleep & Dreams, Food & Drink, Daily Life, The Universe and Calendar.
Open Life Stats on AltFTool — it loads instantly in your browser.
Type your Date of Birth into the date field, which accepts anything from 1900-01-01 up to today.
Press Reveal My Stats — every figure is computed in your browser from your exact age against rates such as 80 heartbeats a minute and 8,000 steps a day.
Scroll the six chapters from Your Body through Sleep & Dreams to Calendar, then press Copy Stats or Share on Twitter.
Elapsed time comes from the exact millisecond difference between your birth date and now, not a rounded year count.
Body, sleep, food, daily life, cosmic and calendar stats each answer a different question about the same lifespan.
Each stat is a stated daily or per-minute rate times your days alive, so you can check or mentally adjust any number.
The tool multiplies your total minutes alive by 80 beats per minute, so roughly 42 million beats per year of age — about 1.58 billion by age 35. Resting heart rate genuinely varies between about 60 and 100 bpm in healthy adults, so treat the figure as a well-scaled estimate rather than a medical measurement.
The main rates are 80 heartbeats and 16 breaths per minute, 15 blinks per minute, 8,000 steps and 8 hours of sleep per day, 5 dreams, 3 meals, 2 litres of water and about 7,000 spoken words a day. Hair is modelled at 0.35 mm a day and fingernails at 0.1 mm a day.
One orbit per 365.25 days alive, so your orbit count is essentially your age with the decimal kept — the extra quarter-day is why leap years exist. The tool also reports distance travelled through space at roughly 1.6 million miles a day, which is the Solar System's motion carrying you along, not the Earth's orbit alone.
No. The date stays in the page, every stat is computed in your browser from that one input, and nothing is uploaded or stored — reloading the page clears it. Sharing only happens if you press Copy or Share yourself.
