Why does a phone with lower benchmark scores sometimes outrank a faster one?
Sustained performance is measured after the chip has been under load for a while, which is where thermal design separates phones that looked identical on a first-run benchmark.
How is battery life actually measured?
A mixed real-world routine — camera use, navigation, streaming and messaging — rather than a single looping local video, which flatters phones in a way daily use never does.
Why do foldables rank below slab phones at a similar price?
Hinge durability, camera compromises from the folding form factor and resale value all pull the score down even when the core chip is excellent.
How often does this list change?
